Elaine M. (Bufton) Cardoza, 54, of East Wareham died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 3 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

Born in Brunswick, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Shirley M. (Reardon) and David E. Bufton, Jr. She was a longtime resident of Wareham.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly D. Cardoza of Fall River, Vicki M. Davis of 29 Palms, CA, James M. MacDonald of Wareham, Alycia M. Cardoza of Malden and Monica S. Cardoza of Newburyport; her sister, Linda M. Stafford; her brother, David E. Bufton, III of Worcester and eight grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, June 14 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m.
