Elaine M. Dolan, 70

Feb 22, 2022

Elaine M. Dolan, 70, of Middleboro, formerly of Boston and Plymouth, died Saturday, February 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gerard T. Dolan.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Cassidy) White. She previously lived in Jamaica Plain, Plymouth, and Wareham before moving to Middleboro.

Elaine was a strong, compassionate, and selfless woman putting others before herself. This was exemplified during the years she spent caring for her late husband, Gerard. Elaine was a devoted mother to Michael and Christine and a loving grandmother to four grandsons they affectionately called “Mimi.” Outside of spending time with her family and her loyal dog Tootsie, Elaine enjoyed bird watching, painting, puzzles, floral arranging, listening to classic music (her favorite was Aerosmith), reading, and being in the White Mountains. She was deeply devoted to her faith and followed the teachings of the Bible. She enjoyed reading the daily missal outside overlooking Glen Charlie Pond and later on the deck in Middleboro.

Elaine is survived by her children, Michael G. Dolan and his wife Maura of Milford, and Christine M. Ward and her husband Jason of Middleboro; her brother, Stanley White of Norwood; and her grandchildren, Caleb Ward, Isaiah Ward, Andrew Dolan, and Thomas Dolan. She was predeceased by her sisters, the late Carolyn Munier and Patricia Beck.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Her funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday from the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham.
