The Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks #73, 2855 Cranberry Highway, will celebrate Flag Day with a presentation of flags throughout American history on Saturday, June 3 at 11 a.m. 

The Wareham Fire Department will hang “Old Glory” from a tower truck while officers and volunteers present American flags in chronological order, from the Revolutionary War to the present day. 

Members of the public are welcome to bring their old and damaged flags, as there will be a flag retirement ceremony after the presentation. 

When American flags are no longer worthy of display, they are ceremonially burned. 

Those with old and damaged flags can bring them on the day of the ceremony, or drop them off at the Elks Lodge during regular hours. 

The ceremony will be held rain or shine.
