Eva F. (Fernandez) Fernandes, 85
Eva F. (Fernandez) Fernandes, 85 of Wareham, died Monday, May 25, at her home. She was the wife of the late Manuel M. Fernandes (Hitler).
Born in Plympton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Monteiro) Fernandez. A longtime resident of Wareham, she worked as a certified nurse’s aide at the former Roland Thatcher Nursing Home. Mrs. Fernandes then worked as an assembler for Augat, Inc. in Mashpee retiring in 1995. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, with a strength and will admired by many.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Silva and Roberta Cooper both of Wareham; her son, Melvin J. Fernandes and wife Debra of E. Taunton; her sister, Alma Andrews of Plympton; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. All of whom brought great joy to her later years.
Her funeral was held at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway on Fri., May 29 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m.
