Southeastern Massachusetts was once the heart of the whaling industry. Join Nancy Gentile and Capt. Michael Taylor, of the New Bedford Whaling Museum, as they talk about a Day in the Life of a Whaling Voyage.
The program will take place at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31.
Gentile and Taylor will talk about the make-up of a typical crew, describe the vessels used and discuss about the business, geography and products of the trade.
Program is free and no registration is required. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
