Put a learning event on the calan-deer.

Dr. Martin Feehan Deer and Moose Biologist with the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, is presenting about White-tailed Deer at the Wareham Free Library at 59 Marion Road Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m.

Feehan will be speaking on the rising white-tailed deer abundance in southeastern Massachusetts coupled with declining hunter participation and how it has led to negative impacts on ecosystems, agricultural damage, vehicle collisions and risks of tick-borne illness. 

The presentation will include discussions on the challenges we face with deer management, strategies for addressing these challenges and how property owners and organizations can be a part of the solution.
