Five Guys Burgers and Fries coming to Rosebrook Place
Cheeseburgers and french fries are comin’ right up in West Wareham.
Those with an appetite for comfort food should be pleased to hear that a Five Guys Burgers and Fries location will soon be open at Rosebrook Place off of Cranberry Highway, according to A.D. Makepeace Senior Vice President James F. Kane.
The 8,000 square-foot building, which has been under construction for about a month, sits next door to another new Makepeace-owned building currently occupied by Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank and Rogers and Grey Insurance.
Kane said Makepeace, the world's largest cranberry grower and owner of Rosebrook Place, and the Five Guys chain signed a lease agreement on Nov. 6, and he expects the restaurant to open sometime this winter. He said the plan is for the restaurant to be open in conjunction with the 90-room TownPlace Suites by Marriot, also on Makepeace land, which should be ready by springtime.
“Who doesn’t want a nice, juicy burger while they’re traveling and away from their family,” said Kane.
He said there are also plans to construct a third, 5,000 square foot building next door to the current two, which will house a full-service, sit down restaurant, although no lease agreement has been signed.
A third tenant—Eye Boston—has recently signed on to occupy final available spot at the Cape Cod Five/Rogers and Grey building, according to Kane.
“Hopefully they’ll be in by early 2015,” he said.
The Five Guys building will also have two other tenants—most likely a retail location of some type, as well as office space—though no agreements have been made at this time.
“We’re quite pleased to get a lot of these projects done,” said Kane.
