Four arrested on numerous charges after search of Wareham homes

The Wareham Police Department, working in conjunction with the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Team, executed search warrants at two Wareham homes on Thursday, October 11, and four people were arrested.

Mark Gomes, 47, of 7 Trout Farm Way, was arrested on three outstanding warrants related to charges of larceny and possession of a firearm, according to Wareham Police. As he was being placed under arrest, police found what they believed to be approximately three ounces of marijuana. Gomes was charged with possession of a "Class D" substance with intent to distribute.

The other arrests were made at 5 Camardo Drive, where officers arrested 25-year-old Christian Fernandes on warrants related to charges of unarmed robbery, and operating with a suspended license, according to police.

Also arrested at the scene were 20-year-old Sabria Chytrus and 23-year-old Thomas Tavares III, police said.

An initial search of the home turned up a digital scale and what police described as four plastic bags containing marijuana. Police searched the home further and reported finding 117 plastics baggies filled with cocaine, more than an ounce of marijuana divided into small plastic bags, and one Oxycodone pill, according to police.

Chytrus, Tavares, and Fernandes were charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Oxycodone, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana, police said.
