WAREHAM – Frances M. Walsh, 97, of Marion, MA sadly left us on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.  She passed peacefully in her sleep at Tobey Hospital surrounded by loved ones. 

Francesca was the daughter of the late Angelina Montanaro and Guiseppe Montanaro.  She was predeceased by her husband, the late Frank A. Walsh, Jr.  They shared many happy years of marriage before he passed in 2008.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Watson and her partner, Peter Gonsalves of Wareham; and her son, Christopher Walsh of Buzzards Bay.  Her grandchildren, Michael Walsh and his partner Krystel Mijares of Sagamore, Brittany Walsh of Bourne, Erin Walsh and her partner Brett Silva of Fairhaven, and her great-grandchildren, Caidan Walsh also of Bourne.  Along with many other family and friends.

Frances was a lifelong devout Catholic receiving the Marian Medal for her dedication to St. Patrick's Church in Wareham.  She loved to travel with her friend Irene and took many trips to Bermuda throughout the years. As well as Ireland, England, and many trips across the United States and Foxwoods.  She loved her game shows, playing bingo, warm tomato and mayo sandwiches and spending time with her family.  Although Frances had many jobs, her favorites were being a wife, mother and grandmother.  She spent her last birthday at her favorite beach in Humarock with family just a few days before her passing, smiling all day!

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 9 to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, High St., Wareham at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Little Neck Cemetery, Marion.
