Francis X. St. Germaine

Francis X. St. Germaine, formerly of Wareham, MA, and East Hampstead, N.H., died December 22 at Webster at Rye in N.H.

Born in Gardner, MA, he was raised and educated in Brockton and Onset. He was also a resident of Canada for several years.

In his younger years, Mr. St. Germaine was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and worked on the construction of the Cape Cod Canal. He was a resident of Wareham from 1945 until 1965 and was employed as a supervisor at the A.D. Makepeace Co.

A resident of East Hampstead, N.H. from 1965 until 1989, he served as the District Manager of Suburban Propane Co. of Westville, N.H. and retired to South Venice, Florida, where he resided until 2003.

Mr. St. Germaine enjoyed golfing and fishing and was past Grand Sachem of the Red Men of Wareham and member of the Gideon Lodge of Masons in Kingston, N.H.

The husband of the late Norma G. (Evans) St. Germaine, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Francis X. “Butch” and Bette-Jane St. Germaine of Bourne, MA, and Dennis F. and Rebecca St. Germaine of Newington, N.H., two daughters and son-in-law, Mylissa and Charles Kapela of South Harpswell, Maine and Lily Sibley of Rye, N.H., sister Marie Fafard of Tavares, Fl, five grandsons, six great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, January 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, N.H. A graveside service will be held in the spring in Wareham.
