Frederick H. Reed, 72, of West Wareham, died April 6, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. He was the husband of Linda L. (Franklin) Reed and the son of the late Gardner Reed and Hazel (Morrison) Gifford. 

He was born in Acushnet and lived in Wareham for most of his life. 

Mr. Reed worked for Hayden Separator Company in West Wareham for many years.

He enjoyed working on the bogs and in his yard and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Survivors include his wife, Linda L. (Franklin) Reed; 2 sons, Frederick H. Reed, Jr. and his fiancé, Donna Landreville of West Wareham, Randy L. Reed and his wife Peggy of Marion; 2 daughters, Kristie Reed and her fiancé, John Smith of Jonesboro, GA and Jaime O’Neil and her husband Mike of Wareham; a brother, Gardner “Peter” Reed of Acushnet; 11 grandchildren, Lawrence, Casey, Connor, Ashley, Naomi, Cheyenne, Leah, Erin, Ryan, Samantha, and Kyle; a great grandson, James. He was the brother of the late Joan Franklin. 

A memorial service honoring Frederick’s life will be held at a time to be announced.
