Garden Club Federation offers helping hand to Massachusetts scholars
Scholars from Wareham and other Massachusetts communities can look to the Garden Club Federation of MA, Inc. for a helping hand with tuition.
The Garden Club Federation is currently accepting scholarship applications from qualified high school seniors, college students, and graduate students for 11 different scholarships. And its parent organization, National Garden Clubs, Inc., is offering additional scholarships to Massachusetts college juniors, seniors, and graduate students sponsored by the Garden Club Federation.
Scholarships are available for students majoring in agronomy, biology, botany, city planning, conservation, environmental studies, floriculture, forestry, horticulture, land management, landscape design, and allied subjects. Three of the scholarships require that the student attend the University of Massachusetts, while the rest are unrestricted. In 2010, the Garden Club Federation awarded eleven $1,000 scholarships, and two Massachusetts students sponsored by the Garden Club Federation received National Garden Clubs, Inc. scholarships.
