Care Free Homes, a Fairhaven-based home improvement company, is holding its 8th annual New Year, New Roof Giveaway.

 

One deserving resident of southeastern Massachusetts will receive a free roof, courtesy of Care Free Homes.

 

Here is how the giveaway works:

 

1. Members of the community nominate someone who needs a new roof. The nominator explains why the homeowner deserves a free roof and what challenges they are experiencing.

 

2. Care Free Homes and its partners review all qualified homeowner nominations and choose three to five finalists to move on to the final voting round.

 

3. Online voters will decide the winner of a GAF Timberline HDZ Roofing system.

 

The nomination period ends on Saturday, Jan. 7. Finalists will be announced on Monday, Jan. 9. Online voting will take place from Tuesday, Jan. 10 to Sunday, Jan. 15, and the winner will be announced on or around Wednesday, Jan. 18.
