Gladys A. (Vizard) Ide, 101, of Wareham, died Oct. 9, in Sippican Health Care Center, Marion. She was the widow of the late Stuart M. Ide and the daughter of the late Charles and E. Abbie (Wright) Vizard.

She was born in Brockton and lived in Wareham for many years.

Mrs. Ide worked as a buyer at Jewelry by You in Hanover.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Wareham. She enjoyed listening to music, gardening and growing African violets, and she loved animals.

Survivors include her son, Robert S. Ide and his wife Nancy of Germantown, MD; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was the mother of the late Pauline Gardner.
