Glen Johnson, 64
Glen Johnson of Wareham, MA, died at home on February 19, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. His Mother and Daughters were by his side.
Glen was born in Quincy, MA on February 25, 1955, to Fred and Barbara Johnson. After spending his early childhood in California the family returned to Massachusetts, where he attended Wareham Schools.
After High School he worked in various areas of the construction industry.
After his marriage to Amy Borjeson he became interested in the commercial fishing industry. He owned his own dragger, the “Louise” for many years, before moving to offshore fishing where he was a successful Captain.
After retiring from the fishing industry, Glen owned a computer consulting business and a successful remodeling business. Glen loved using his skill to help out his daughters and their families with home repairs.
He was a true jack of all trades and loved staying busy. In his daughter's eyes “he could fix anything.” Glen adored his grandchildren Tanner and Reese, and spent most of his weekends with them. Teaching his grandson to fish will always be one of the family’s favorite memories.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Hultgren of Wareham, his daughter, Erin Johnson and partner, Jason Jones of Hawaii, daughter Brooke Schneider, and husband Derek of Falmouth, and their children Tanner and Reese Schneider as well as nephews Zachary and Alex Johnson of Wareham.
