Jan 13, 2017
A late morning car crash on Friday knocked out power to a Hathaway Street neighborhood and injured at least one person, according to emergency broadcasts.
Wareham Police closed a small section of Hathaway Street near the intersection of Dinah’s Way so Eversource officials could remove a utility pole that fell across the street following the single-vehicle crash.
Emergency broadcasts report the car’s airbags deployed during the crash. The driver was semi-conscious when first responders arrived.
The incident occurred just before noon. The extent of the driver’s injuries are unknown at this time. It’s unclear what caused the crash.
