Helen M. (Fox) McCray, 87, of East Wareham, died Dec. 14 in the Royal Nursing Home, Falmouth. She was the widow of the late Henry C. McCray and the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine E. (Fitzgerald) Fox.

She was born in Boston and lived in Brockton before moving to East Wareham.

She graduated from Hyde Park High School.

Mrs. McCray worked at Mammoth Mart in Bridgewater for many years.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church.

She enjoyed line and square dancing, reading, gardening and attending events with her husband at the Wareham Lodge of Elks.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Blais of Sagamore, Maureen McCray of Bayside, N.Y. and Christine Robinson of Arlington, T.X.; her sister, Elaine Marinella of Nalcrest, Fa.;  her sister-in-law, Susan Fox of Derry, N.H.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visiting hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
