A master boatman, Dempsey dreamed of owning his own boat. At the time of his death, he was beloved by many notable Wareham residents.

The program will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 17, at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main St. Admission is free for members and costs $2 for non-members. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
