Spinney Memorial Library, 259 Onset Ave., will offer the chance to win a gift basket of holiday goodies from the Friends of the Wareham Free Library. The winner be selected from the free drawing on Saturday, Dec. 17. The library is open on Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.

The Friends' Cookbook is on sale at the library for $5 each. The books come decorated with a wooden spoon to make it suitable for holiday gift giving.

Spinney Memorial Library will be closed on December 24, 26 and 31, as well as January 2. Upcoming winter events will be announced soon.
