A Hollywood 'Spectacular Night' by Cranberry Coast Concerts
Cranberry Coast Concerts vocalists and musicians will gather to perform at a special "Spectacular Night" a tribute to music at the movies on Saturday July 24.
The concert features six vocalists from the summer concert series who will perform songs from classic Hollywood films as well as new favorites. A four-piece band with duo pianists, and Cranberry Coast Concerts Directors Kirk Whipple and Marilyn Morales, will accompany the singers as well as perform instrumental pieces.
The program is a secret, but Whipple has given some hints: "1939, the Greatest Year in Movies," science-fiction instrumental excerpts, Henry Mancini, Tom Cruise, and Pee-Wee Herman.
"No campiness will be withheld in this fun-filled family show," the program promises.
The concert will be held at the Community of Christ Church, The Tabernacle, 339 Onset Avenue, Onset, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for seniors and students, $100 for season tickets, and $25 for children's season tickets.
