It's a-boat time to learn how to build a rowboat

Onset Bay Center will offer a free youth boatbuilding program this spring for students 11 to 15-years-old.

The eight week program runs Mondays and Wednesdays from April 6 through May 27 at the center, 186 Onset Ave, with no classes April 20, April 22 or May 25.

Participants will work with an experienced boat builder to construct a Wickets Skiffs rowboat while learning basic engineering, teamwork and safe tool use. Students will also have the opportunity to use the boats on the water during the season.
