It's Girl Scout cookie time!

Dec 16, 2011

It's that time again! Wareham Girl Scout troops have set up booths at stores throughout the town to sell their coveted cookies.

In addition to satisfying your appetite for Caramel deLites and Thin Mints, cookie sales help the scouts fund activities such as camping and traveling to other states, along with projects that earn the girls patches for their achievements.

"When you buy Girl Scout cookies, you are not only helping [troops members] to raise money, you are helping to teach them respect, responsibility, and teamwork," said Wareham Brownie Troop 80189's Kim Cormier.

The scouts will be selling at Stop & Shop, Lowes, Walmart, and Shaw's during the next several weeks. Cormier thanked the stores for supporting the scouts.
