James W. Franklin III. “Jimbo”, 47, of Onset passed away Monday June 29 at home. James was the husband of Pamela S. (Cribby) Franklin of Onset.

He was born in Wareham the son of Della Tess (Heikila) Franklin of Wareham and the late James W. Franklin Jr. He attended Wareham Public Schools and Upper Cape Regional Vocational Technical High School. James was a contractor and a former call firefighter for the Onset Fire Department. He enjoyed his family and friends and was also a former coach in Wareham Little League and Wareham Babe Ruth.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his children and step children; James S. Franklin of Nevada, Breanna Franklin of Onset, Shannon Franklin of Onset, Julianna Franklin of Onset, John Sulfaro of Onset, Heather Sulfaro and her husband Mike of Onset, James Sulfaro and his wife Samantha of Onset and Jeffrey Caron of Bridgewater. He was the brother of April Dawn Franklin of New Hampshire, Jason M. Franklin of Florida and Christopher M. Franklin of Wareham. He was also survived by his grandchildren Logan Lauren, Lilly and many loving aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday July 20, at the Dudley Brown V.F.W. Post Onset Ave. Onset from 4 to 7 p.m. relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
