John C. Tirrell, 78, of Buzzards Bay passed away Friday October 16, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center –Plymouth. He leaves behind his special life partner Edyie A. Johnson of Rochester MA.

Mr. Tirrell was born in Quincy, MA the son of the late Karl I. and Robina S. (Cochran) Tirrell. He attended Weymouth Public Schools and Weymouth High School. He enjoyed Boating, his friends and brothers of the Falmouth Elks Lodge, traveling and music. He worked for many years as an Administrator for the Draper Corp. Space and Marine program in Cambridge.

Mr. Tirrell is also survived by his children; Lisa and her husband Eric Schneider of Harrison, ME and Scott Tirrell and his girlfriend Kelly of Whitman, MA. He was the brother of Fran McDonald of Hingham and uncle of Bob McClelland and his wife Sissy, Bruce McClelland and his wife Deb and Leanne and her husband Jimmy Higgins. He was also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Saturday October 24 from 1-4pm in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
