John M. Bumpus, 60, of Wareham, died December 10, 2012 in the Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston. He was the son of the late Frederick E. and Catherine M. (Moran) Bumpus.

He was born in Wareham and lived in Middleboro for many years before returning to Wareham.

Mr. Bumpus worked as a blending operator at Ocean Spray Cranberry Company.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time in Onset.

Survivors include his daughters, Sarah Mullis of Gastonia, NC and Rebecca Conner of Cramerton, NC; a stepson, Matt Mahon of Middleboro; 2 brothers, George E. Bumpus of Onsetand Frederick G. Bumpus of FL; his sister, Theresa Osswald of Onset; 2 grandchildren, Adilee Mullis and Ethan Conner; several nephews and nieces.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 17^th, 2012 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A prayer service will follow at 8 p.m.
