Joseph W. Conway Park repairs complete
Due to the joint efforts of the Town’s Municipal Maintenance Department and Swift'ss Beach Improvement Association, improvements and repairs to the Town park at Swifts Beach have recently been completed.
The Joseph W. Conway park had a number of wooden structures that were in unsafe condition. After Sarah Coleman, a local mother, brought the issue to the association, the organization worked in conjunction with Town Administrator Derek Sullivan and Director of Municipal Maitenance Dave Menard to work out a plan to finance the repairs and complete them before the Fourth of July. Municipal Maitenance was able to accomplish this in the hope that the holiday crowds could safely enjoy the park and the beach.
Theassociation will now have volunteers paint the new parts of the structures to preserve them. If you would like to help, contact the Swift's Beach Improvement Association at 508-295-7658.
