Jr. Vikings battle Attleboro, pick up another win

The Gateway Jr. Vikings hockey team battled Attleboro on Friday, January 13, picking up a 5-2 win.

Sean Fagan scored the first goal with an assist from Alex Hathaway, but Attleboro put one in to end the first period, tying the game.

Attleboro pulled ahead with one goal in the second period. The Jr. Vikings didn't back off, however. Mike Houdlette, assisted by Matt St. John, got the tie back for the Vikings.

It was all Wareham in the third period. Sean Fagan scored on a power play with an assist from Alex Atkinson and Stephen Toal. With an open net, Toal then put the Jr. Vikings up by two and again scored on a power play with six seconds left in the game.

The Jr. Vikings' record is now 8 wins, 6 losses, and 2 ties.
