Karen A. (Bugg) McDougal, 64, of Wareham, died Jan. 4 in Falmouth Hospital, Falmouth. She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mary (Winters) Bugg.

She was born in Pensacola, Florida and lived in Wareham for many years. She graduated from Wareham High School and Fisher College.

Mrs. McDougal worked as a phlebotomist at Morton Hospital in Taunton.

She enjoyed gardening, going on cruises, trips to the casino and spending time with her family.  Her favorite times of year were Christmas and Halloween.

Survivors include her son, Jeffry M. McDougal and his wife Donna of Wareham; two daughters, Jennifer M. McDougal of Wareham and Jodie M. McDougal of Wareham; a sister, Kathy M. Bither of Onset; three brothers, Kevin Bugg of Wareham, Keith Bugg of Virginia and Kyle Bugg of Mashpee; five grandchildren, Kayla, Jeffry, Jonathan, Trinity and Mya; many nephews and nieces.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham.

Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Onset Ave., Onset. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
