Kazar Richard "Dick" Shooshan

Kazar Richard "Dick" Shooshan lived a full life starting in Somerville, Massachusetts on September 22, 1935 and ending on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Dick spent his childhood in Onset, Massachusetts and graduated from Wareham High School He went on to receive a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Bentley University, which led to a career as a Controller for varied companies and industries.

Dick is survived by his loving wife Carol, with whom he spent twenty-eight blissful years; his five children, Michael Shooshan (and wife Rhonda), Christine Sheryl, John, Robert, Christopher and Judy Martin, as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind one brother, Robert, and was preceded by three siblings, Carole Jenson, Nancy Shooshan and Mike Shooshan, and his parents, Elna and Ky Shooshan.

He served proudly in the National Guard and Marine Corp., and enjoyed the comraderies and friendships of Elks Lodge #2418 and AMVETS Post 98, both of West Plains, Missouri. Dick's curious nature led him to an interest in many, many subjects, which gave him a great love of life. He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, traveling, birding and nature. He extended kindness where he saw he could help because he enjoyed being useful and involved with others. He was a husband, father, brother, friend... and will be missed.

A Celebration-of-Life will be held on June 25, 2025 at Onset Beach in Massachusetts.
