Kent F. Wampler, 81, of Wareham, died July 5, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness while surrounded by his family. Husband of the late Marcia A. Mahoney. Father of the late Kurt Wampler. Survived by his brother in-law, John Mahoney and his wife Judith of Boston; his former wife, Karen Driver of CA and his niece, Karen Long of Wisconsin.

Funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway on Friday, July 10 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham at 10 a.m.

Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne at a later date.
