Families enjoy a bouncy house during Sunday’s school drive.Kids freshened up their look and received backpacks full of school supplies at a recent event sponsored by Community Youth Empowerment.
Hosted at Faded Image Barbershop, the organization’s school supply drive saw dozens of kids come out to get a free haircut and school supplies on Sunday, Aug. 21. Kids also enjoyed a bounce house, face-painting and music.
Community Youth Empowerment Chief Marketing Officer Matt Mendes said that the event drew around 125 people on Sunday.
