Kristi A. Garner, 56

Kristi A. Garner, 56, of Wareham and formerly of Falmouth, died on July 30, 2020, at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on her birthday, July 24. She was the daughter of the late Rose Monteiro Garner and Alfred Baptiste.

Kristi was born July 24, 1964, in Falmouth, MA. She was educated and graduated from Falmouth High School in the class of 1982. She then attended St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, North Carolina. 

Kristi worked in the Falmouth Public School system for many years as a secretary and as the Cultural Awareness club advisor. She then worked for several years in the Elder and Disability community as a caregiver before her disability. 

Kristi will be remembered as a giving and inspirational person. She had an infectious smile that always lit up a room. Kristi was first and foremost known for her love of family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Kristi was known for giving her all to those around her and expecting nothing in return. She was an exceptionally thoughtful and kind hearted person who will be missed by many. 

Kristi enjoyed listening to her “oldies” and spending time with those she loved. She found comfort in going to the beach to listen to the waves. Her favorite moments were spent with her grandchildren, her great-nephew Shayne, her Goddaughter Meagen and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Kristi leaves to cherish her memories daughter Cassidy Rose Cameron of Swampscott, MA; her Fiancé Mitch Williams and her 3 grandchildren, Lennon and twins Marley and Donovan; daughter Shalese Princess Rose White and her devoted companion Tre’von Souza of Wareham. 

She also leaves her siblings Anthony Garner & spouse Susan of East Falmouth, Kathi DeGrace of Mashpee, Robyn Hendricks & spouse Ricky of Waquoit, Kim McAlpine & spouse Frank of East Falmouth as well as several half-brothers & sisters; her aunt Elizabeth Rodriques of East Falmouth, several cherished nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many beloved friends. Kristi was predeceased by her parents, her sister Beverly Blake Pires, her brother Shaun Gosselin and father of Cassidy, Alfonza Cameron Jr. 

Visiting hours for Kristi will be held on Friday August 7th from 4pm – 7pm at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 8th at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy (Route 28), E. Falmouth. The burial will be private.
