You still have time to stock up on some great bargains for your Fall reading time. The Friends' book sales raise a majority of their money to be used to purchase books and materials for the library.
This year, as in the past years, the Friends have agreed to donate $10,000 to the library for books and materials in addition to raising money for purchasing equipment and bringing programs to the library. A few weeks ago, the Board of Selectmen accepted $5000 of that money to the library gift account. We are now raising the remaining $5000 of our commitment.
The Friends have to sell an awful lot of books at our great prices that start at 25 cents for paperbacks and $1 for most hardcovers! So won't you support the Friends and at the same time, stock your book shelves?
The sale runs today from 10 am to noon. We hope to see you there! As always, all proceeds support the work of the Friends. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Thank you for your support!!
