.Lazy Lobster 5 Miler Rescheduled for September
Organizers of the annual Lazy Lobster 5 Miler announced the event has been rescheduled from June 6 to Sept. 12 to ensure a safe and memorable experience for participants and attendees.
The race will begin at 197 Onset Ave. in front of Bayview Park and feature a scenic five-mile loop through Onset with views of the bay.
All registered runners will receive a finisher shirt, medal and swag bag. A post-race gathering will follow the event.
Organizers said they understand the date change may prevent some participants from attending this year’s race and appreciate the community’s patience and support.
“We have received several emails and messages and are working with everyone as best as we can,” organizers said in a statement on Facebook. “At this time, all registrants have either been transferred to the Sept. 12 event date or noted for registration in our 2027 event.”
Packet pick-up and the race expo will now be held Friday, Sept. 11, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Onset Bay Center.
On race day, volunteer check-in and packet pick-up begin at 7 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m. at the intersection of Onset Avenue and South Boulevard. Post-race refreshments will begin around 9:30 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 11 a.m.
Organizers said they remain committed to maximizing the 5 Miler and festival experience for all attendees.
