Lazy Lobster race will benefit disabled athletes
The Lazy Lobster race is coming to Wareham on Sunday, June 16.
Proceeds from the inaugural race will benefit myTeam Triumph, a program that helps disabled people participate in athletic events such as road races and triathlons.
The race will begin and end at the John W. Decas Elementary School, located at 760 Main Street. There will be a 10-mile race, a 5-mile race, and a "fun run" for children.
Participants may register online until June 13. The entry fees are $35 for the 10-mile, $25 for the 5-mile and $5 for the "fun run."
The "fun run" will kick off at 7:30 a.m., and the 5- and 10-mile races will begin at 9 a.m.
Participants who register on the day of the race must register by 7:30 a.m. The entry fees on the day of the race are $40 for the 10-mile, $30 for the 5-mile, and $5 for the kids' "fun run."
