The League of Women Voters - South Coast will host a membership meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rosebrook Event Center in Wareham. The public is invited. 

Wareham resident Darcy Fernandes is the keynote speaker. Her career in education spans more than twenty-fire years; her achievements include being named New Bedford Women of the Year in 2013. 

Ms. Fernandes currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Massachusetts Commissioner of Education. 

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization, invites discussion on civic and political topics as well as voter registration and education.
