Linda S. Kenney, 75

It is with the deepest regret her family announces the passing of Linda S. Kenney on April 22, 2021 at the age of 75 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family when she peacefully passed.

Linda was born in Tacoma Park, MD and lived in so many wonderful places from Arlington, MA, Ridgewood, NJ, Naperville, IL, Westport, CT., Wellesley, Fairhaven and Marion, MA. Linda & Jim retired to Wareham where they had spent many summers with family and friends. 

Linda S. Kenney has been the loving wife of James T. Kenney for 55 years. The couple had 5 children. Linda was the daughter of the late William W. Seifert, PhD, and Sylvia (Campbell) Seifert. Linda graduated from Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT.  

Linda enjoyed the beach, live music, world travel, and company of family and friends; especially if they brought chocolate. She was a member of the Parrot Head Club of Eastern MA and the Boston Blues Society. 

Linda is survived by her husband, James T. Kenney. Children: Lee Nimkoff and her husband Lou of Winter Park, FL, Carolyn Herrera and her husband Joe of Burke, VA, Christine Pires of Wareham, James S. Kenney of Wareham, and Alexander Kenney and his wife Megan of Davenport, FL. Linda’s loving 13 grandchildren: Jade, Zachary, Billy, Abigail, Jacob, Morgan, Samantha, Madison, Nicholas, Zackery, Christian, Avery, and Chloe. 

Linda is survived by her 2 brothers, Charles Seifert and his wife Rawn and Robert Seifert and his partner Wendy and her sister, Janet Seifert. Linda was predeceased by her sister, Camilla and Stepmother, Doris (Patterson) Seifert. 

 Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte. 28), Wareham.  Appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including the use of face masks, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity. 

Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in Marion at Old Landing Cemetery.
