LIVE AUCTION PRIZES!
The Murder Mystery Live Auction at the Wareham Free Library on Friday night is offering some spectacular prizes! Don't miss a chance to bid on whatever strikes your fancy.
Among the offerings are a week's stay in an English country cottage in East Sussex, about fifty miles southeast of London. Or you could bid on a lovely stay at the Royal Islander Club LaPlage on the island of St. Maarten.
Not a traveler? The auction still has something for you! Three sets of tickets to the New Bedford Symphony at the Zeiterion are up for bid. Or maybe you'd like to play your own music with an acoustic guitar. Or if you are an Elvis fan, bid on the Elvis collector plate with its original certificate.
Library supporters love to read, so place a bid on the gift basket of assorted books, or the set of Charles Dickens novels. Longaberger basket lovers can bid on a cozy winter reading gift basket complete with books, hot cocoa, tea and a lovely cup.
In addition, you might want to bid on the salt water fishing rods, the Reed & Barton eight piece place setting, the Ginny Dolls (Cinderella and Prince Charming), or the Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls. Mary Nyman has donated one of her original-design necklaces and Cafe Soleil has donated a $25 gift certificate to the auction. Local Main Street businesses have stepped up with Twigs and Tides donating a gift basket, and Gallery Consignment contributing a unique pendant necklace as well. Spa Service in Brockton, an antique necklace, pictures by Dr. Edward Sheckman, a picture of a proton, and a Gone with the Wind collector plate round out the list of prizes so far.
The auction takes place on Friday night at the Library at 6:30 pm as part of the Murder Mystery. The Friends wish to thank the auctioneer, Colonel Phillip G. Gomes for donating his services to this worthy fundraiser.
