Lois V. (Crane) Crowley, 89

Lois V. (Crane) Crowley, 89, of East Wareham, formerly of New Ulm, MN, passed away Wednesday, April 13, at Forestview Nursing Home.  She was the wife of the late Timothy Crowley Sr.

Born in New Ulm, MN the daughter of the late Guy and Lena (Offermann) Crane, she attended New Ulm Public Schools and was a member of the high school class of 1939.

Lois attended North Western Hospital School of Nursing and after graduating, enlisted in the U.S. Navy during WWII, as a nurse. When she returned from WWII, Lois worked for over 25 years at the Peter Bent Brigham & Women’s Hospital. She later worked for the Lutheran Nursing home in Brockton prior to retiring.

Lois enjoyed her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was an avid reader and late member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She is survived by her children Timothy Crowley of Randolph, Jean Crowley of E. Wareham, and Lois Lieder of New Bedford. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is the mother of the late Rita Ann Crowley Papp, Margaret Spearin, and grandmother of the late Michael J. Oleson Jr.

Committal Services will be held on Friday April 22, at 12:45 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery 1 Bennington Blvd. Bourne, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and asked to arrive at the cemetery by 12:30 p.m..
