Lucille M. Walker, 72
Lucille M. Walker, age 72 of Livonia, Mich. passed away on October 2, 2021.
Lucille was born on September 13, 1949 in Wareham, Massachusetts to her parents, Francis and Ellen (née Corse) Smith. She is the beloved and devoted wife of 34 years to Marshall Walker; cherished mother of three children – Dorian Hayes, Cindy Hayes and Marshall Walker; proud grandmother of Allison, Joseph, Stephanie and Kristina Giacomaro, Toni, Timothy, Taylor and Josie Clement and great-grandmother of Angelina Giacomaro and Valentina Rafilov. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her brother, Frank (Jean) Smith, her sisters, Fran Florindo, June Gianey and Joyce (Gardener) McWilliams. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Smith. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Debbie Smith.
Lucille loved to work in her garden. She knew how to choose plants for the best garden layout and be patient while the garden evolved into a beautiful outdoor space she had created. She enjoyed the surprises the plants offered to her in such an amazing way. She had a gift for transforming an empty outdoor space into something beautiful to be proud of and provide beauty and enjoyment for everyone.
She was a member of Praise Community Church in Plymouth, Mich. She loved her church and her church family. She made many friends over the years and was active in various ministries, social events and other opportunities for making new friends and strengthening her faith. She was very involved in the Kentucky Mountain Mission Camp.
Above all things in this world, Lucille loved and adored her family. Family meant everything to her and there was nothing she wouldn’t do to see that her family was happy. Her love was strong and unconditional.
