Make sure turtles are looking both ways this spring

To find out why the turtle crossed the road, head over to the Wareham Free Library for a program on the different types of turtles that live in Wareham and the surrounding area.
The event will be held Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. to hear from Krill Carson, a marine biologist with the Middleboro based New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance that focuses on educating people and protecting marine life.
The program will feature a powerpoint presentation on why turtles cross roads in the spring and how people can help turtles safely get to their destination.
Marine artifacts like turtle shells, eggs and more will be on display and a repurposed metal art activity will follow.
