A Wareham man was arrested with over an ounce of marijuana while walking on Swifts Beach Road Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police said Jared Cardoza, 22, was arrested after he was found with 14 plastic bags containing marijuana and $250 cash as he left the Woods of Wareham apartment complex at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Cardoza was arrested for possession of Class D (Marijuana) with intent to distribute, and was arraigned on the charge at Wareham District Court.
