Marion Yvonne Keyes, 92, of Wareham, passed away peacefully on November 7 at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home for the Aged in Middleborough.

She married the late James Joseph Keyes of Boston in 1951. They settled in Westwood where they raised a family and ran a successful contracting company before retiring to Wareham in 1978.

Marion was the bookkeeper for the family business, but in her leisure time enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking. However, she will be remembered most for her unwavering love and devotion to her family and for being a loyal and faithful friend to many.

She is predeceased by her husband James Joseph Keyes. She is survived by her children Deborah Keyes Schlosser of Ukiah, California, Rodger Keyes of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Vanessa Keyes Issels of Santa Barbara, California, Roberta Keyes Connolly of Marstons Mills, and their spouses. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren William Schlosser and Eve Schlosser of Ukiah, California who were the joy of her life.

The Keyes family would like to offer a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home for the Aged in Middleborough for the compassion, kindness and devotion they bestowed upon our mother during her final years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 14 at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours have been omitted.
