Mark A. Hetu, 57, of Wareham, died March 7, 2021, in the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston. He was the son of the late Ernest and Irene Almeida.

He was born in Providence, RI, and lived in Bristol, RI, before moving to Wareham many years ago.

Mr. Hetu worked as a groundskeeper for Joint Base Cape Cod in Bourne.

He was a member of the Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and attending out of town Patriot games.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Nicole Mahoney and her husband Michael of Warwick, RI, and Makenzie Hetu of Wareham; 2 grandsons, Seamus Mahoney and Everett Hickey.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. (Appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including the use of face masks, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity).
