Marshall "Bam" Fernandes was a beloved resident of Wareham. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side Saturday, January 18, 2025 at his home.

Born May 17, 1966 in Wareham, he was the cherished son of Mary Pina and Marshall Fernandes Sr. and his wife Laurel.

Bam found joy spending time with his grandchildren, cooking, fishing, campfires, watching football with his best friend Troy and his brother Buttons, spending time in his wood shop refinishing furniture and making bird houses for his friends and family. Bam also loved gardening for his mom and his aunt Judy. Bam was a man who held his family together. He was always the first one there whenever anyone needed help, no matter the ask. He will be fondly remembered for his selflessness and the way he took care of his family and friends.

Bam is survived by his devoted wife Margaret of 36 years their 6 children Robert Tratzinski, William Tratzinski and his partner Kristi Lasseter, Alexander Tratzinski and his wife Jessica, Michael Martinez and his partner Dominque, Megan Martinez and her partner Nathan, and Olivia-Luka Fernandes and partner Meryl. He was adored by his 9 grandchildren. Also mourning his passing are his 5 brothers Arthur Fernandes, Jay Pina, Marshall Fernandes Jr., Conrad Fernandes and his wife DeLiza, and Courtney Jones; his 6 sisters Michelle Pina, Danielle Homes, Renita Casey and husband Brian, April Hall, Love Fernandes, Marsha and wife Jamie Fernandes; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was the loving godparent to Aminah Mae Fernandes.

Marshall was predeceased by his sister April’s husband Brad Hall and mother-in-law Joan Clouten.

Visiting hours are from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, January 24 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy, Wareham.
