Martha Marie (Hall) Dittrich, 93

Martha Marie (Hall) Dittrich, 93, of Plymouth, formerly of Wareham, passed away peacefully at Radius Healthcare Center in 
Plymouth on February 5.

She was the daughter of the late Walter F. and 
Martha M. Hall of Plymouth. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1936 
and worked for years in the Puritan Mills, later with Barnes Worsted in Kingston. She 
retired in 1973.

She married her beloved husband, the late Fred B. Dittrich in August of 
1939. They were married for 61 wonderful, loving years. They both shared a great love 
of the outdoors and moved to Waitts River, Vermont in their retirement.

They returned to 
Massachusetts in 1985 and settled in Wareham. Martha enjoyed spending 
time with her husband, knitting, and painting.

She was the beloved mother of Karen 
Pierson of Tucson, AZ and the late Fred Dittrich of Plymouth. She is survived by a 
sister, Joan Canducci of Plymouth, a daughter-in-law, Marie Dittrich of Plymouth, a son 
in-law, Paul (Teddy) Pierson of Tucson, AZ; Six grandchildren, Jean Gilbert of 
Plymouth, Amy Enos of Bedford, NH, Paul Dittrich of Ledyard, Connecticut, Ingrid 
Anderson of Plymouth, Paul Pierson of Plymouth, and Jeanna Pierson of Chelsea, MA, 
and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece, Kimberlee Canducci, and a nephew, John Canducci, both of Plymouth.

There will be a graveside service at Chiltonville Cemetery, 6 River Street in Plymouth, on Friday, February 10 
at 11 a.m.
