Martin Ober, 91, of Wareham died Jan. 20 at Tobey Hospital.

He was the widower of the late Rita E. (Monaghan) Ober and the son of the late Samuel and Anna (Aronson) Ober.

He was born in Boston and lived in Wareham for many years.

Mr. Ober was a World War II Army veteran. He worked as a civil engineer at Otis Air Force Base for many years before retiring.

Survivors include his sister, Betty Harshberger of Mashpee; two nephews; three nieces; a sister-in-law, Margaret Raymond of Yarmouth; his friend, Heidi C. Dobbins-Morse of Buzzards Bay; and his cat, Buddy.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visiting hours are from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
