Mary Elizabeth Oldham
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Oldham of Wareham passed at her home on April 4 of natural causes. She was the beloved wife of the late Carlton F. Oldham of West Wareham.
Mary is the honored mother of daughters Donna M. Horse-Grant and Patricia A. Donahue, mother-in-law to Gerry Donahue, and stepmother of Brenda Figueroa.
Mary Elizabeth was born August 7, 1925 in Boston to Peter R. and Adelaide M. Correio.
She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1945. She is survived by loving siblings, Peter R. Correio II and Frances Collins. Deceased siblings are Paul Correio, Lucille Zaragoza, and Anthony and Louis Correio (veterans killed in action).
Mary (Nana) was the devoted grandmother of nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren who were blessed to know her love.
Mary worked in the cafeteria for the Wareham School Department for many years before retiring. Previously she worked as a presser in the dry cleaning business.
Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in Centre Cemetery.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
