The Speedy Mart on the corner of Route 28 and Doty Street in West Wareham was allegedly robbed by a masked man wielding a baseball bat on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Wareham Police officers, who arrived at the scene around 9 p.m., were advised that the masked man holding a baseball bat had entered the store and demanded cash out of the register, according to police.

The man fled from the store with the cash drawer, but dropped the drawer and the cash while he was running through the parking lot, police said. The suspect ran to a parked vehicle and left the scene.

No injuries were reported at the scene of the robbery. Wareham Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
