The second annual Joseph X. Vasconceles Memorial Baseball Tournament will be held on Saturday at Spillane Field.

The event is in memory of Joey, a 2006 graduate of Wareham High School who loved baseball, and is the main fundraiser for a scholarship fund in his honor.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the first, six-inning game will begin by 10 a.m. The cost is $25, and participants should bring baseball gear and cleats.  In addition to the games, there will be a home-run derby and family activities such as a moonwalk, and various games.  Two awards will be bestowed in memory of Joey to the Wareham Little League Major League and Minor League Player(s) of the Year.
